The learning app that makes screen time easier.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

What ages is GoodMinutes for?

Kids 4 to 11. There are four levels, roughly pre-K through 5th grade. You enter your child’s birth month and year, and a short level check in each subject skips ahead if lessons look too easy.

Which apps can it lock?

Any apps or app categories you choose with Apple’s Screen Time picker, such as Games or Streaming. GoodMinutes itself is never locked. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, on the device your child uses.

Do I need Family Sharing?

No. If your child’s device is signed in to a Family Sharing child account, GoodMinutes uses Family mode, which only a parent can turn off. On any other device it works in Personal mode: everything works, but someone with the device could switch Screen Time access off in iOS Settings. GoodMinutes shows a warning in the Parents area if that happens.

What happens to my child’s data?

It stays on the device. Your child’s name, birthday, progress, activity, drawings and voice are never sent to us or anyone else. We don’t use analytics, ads or AI services. Details are in our privacy policy.

Why do you need my email?

It creates your parent account. We send one welcome email so you can confirm it’s you. If you didn’t sign up, just ignore it, and that address won’t be emailed again. Emails about new Hensu kids apps are opt-in. You can delete your account anytime in the app: Parents → Delete account.

Can more than one child use it?

Yes. Up to 4 children, each with their own profile, level and progress on the device. Plans can be shared with your family through Apple Family Sharing.

What if my child gets answers wrong?

They never lose minutes. A miss replays the problem with the objects, step by step, and asks again. The “I’m not sure” button walks through any question without counting it as wrong. Minutes are only earned for correct answers.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once you’re set up. Lessons, voice and books are all built into the app. Signing up, buying a plan, and deleting your account need an internet connection.

Does progress sync between devices?

No. To keep your child’s data private, progress is stored only on the device where your child learns. Deleting the app deletes that progress.

How do I cancel?

In the app, go to Parents → Change or cancel subscription. Or open iPhone or iPad Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
